So you attended the seminar and you felt great. Then a week or two later things get back to normal. You think "it wore off". That is not what happened at all. You have a whole life time of stories, and decisions about what you are and what you are not. They create an emotional thermostat and that is where you tend to want to live. Too happy is dangerous, too sad is not tolerable. Too much money is not manageable and too little is painful.
Several years ago we visited Alaska and came accross the mud flats. Every year someone gets on the flats and gets stuck in the mud. The mud is so dense once you are in it is almost impossible to get out then the tide rise. Simply you are stuck to death.
Similarly we have a whole lifetime of decisions and self evaluations that keep us where we are. Often to the point of truly believing "this is all there is". Our lives is the sum of our decisions about who and what we believe we are.
When you return from the seminar or meeting you are up and a small number actually break through. Most wind up where they were before they went. So it would seem it is as hopeless as being stuck in the Alaskan mud flats, frantically trying to get out before the tides consume us.
How do you make real lasting changes in your life. Get leverage. Have a reason or cause bigger than you as your motivation. Have a very intense why. Why do you want to be something more than what you have become. Who will you help how will you be if you can make the changes. How will it feel in your mind and body to make the changes.
Change your stories. Find a real empowering story and start to work on it. Are you the victim? Or you the overcomer. Both stories can hold you like the Alaskan mud. This is the greatest step. Many of us have such a rich history of things that hold us in place, we never overcome it. Till the tides start to rise. Then we simply rise to the minimum level to live.
Truly breaking through requires a great level work. We literally have to change your time line of your past to allow you to create a vibrant life and future.
