Success, an Inside Job

In the late 70's I meet a guy we will call JB.  JB was a dynamic person in a multi-level business that still exists.  He had made some tremendous changes and growth.  But how did JB make the changes?  I say his success number is 52.   JB had owned some shops that had failed by the early 70's.   He was broke, looking for his next, when came across the opportunity.   He and his wife had seen great changes in themselves with the product and had nothing to lose so they got after it.  During the week he would invite people to his home, for the meeting.  And each Thursday he would open his home and then he and his wife would get ready for the meeting.  For 51 meetings no on showed up.  He said for each night, no one showed up that he would go to his back porch and yell,  "YA'LL ARE WRONG, I AM RIGHT AND I AIN'T QUITTING".   The on meeting 52 one man showed up, and enrolled and what seemed like a blink of an eye, he was growing fast.  JB became one of the most successful distributors in the company's history.  Most folks thought it was instant success.  It was not.  IT begin at meeting number 1.   One Principle of success is to be persistent.  Persistence is one of the most important traits of success.  Do you have it?  You can certainly get it.  Do you need it?  Persistence....with out exception.  What is your success number?

It has been said that you will be most like your 5 closest friends. In income, success and more. And while this may seem true on the first view, It is only part of the story! There is something much more important. It is where you live! Not where you live in terms of address. That has little to do with success in life, business, love or relationship. It is where you live emotionally. Emotions are the drivers of your life. We all have emotional thermostats. When life gets too much worse than we are use to living we will often do something about it. Maybe get depressed, get coaching or counseling, get medicated. But then if the emotional level gets too good we will do things to get it back to our point of stasis. It is like setting your thermostat to 70 degrees. If it gets to 66 it is too cold or 74 it gets too how. 70 is the comfortable temp. Where is your emotional thermostat? Is it feeling o.k. with brief peaks to a beautiful state and drops to mildly down state that we call normal? Or it is sad with the occasional peak of pleasant ness an brief states of depression. Are you happy with living with your emotional thermostat? What if you could totally change your state to one of a beautiful state as your nomal state? Could it be that it can actually happen. Yes it can. So next is how to change your emotional state.
